Have Big Foot Feet? No Problem
One of the issues that I often have while shopping in Japan is the sizes. Although I fit a men’s medium for shirts and have a normal inseam length, my feet are above average in length… above the American average. Sadly If you have a size 10 or larger, chances are the shop staff will do the following: scramble to find anything that might work, politely inform you that your mutant feet are just too big, and apologize profusely… All this will leave you embarrassed by all the fuss and trudging home in your beat-up old pair.
My response: cry ye no more! The folks at Kutsunohikari http://www.kutsunohikari.co.jp/shop/japan/catalogsite/index.aspx have clued in and can provide! They have sizes range from 11 to 14 and they also have extra wide shoes for those who have true flipper feet. Lest you think they provide a one style fits all, fear not, they have all the top brands and in multiple colors.
I found my favorite pair my Adidas street shoes there in my size!
